Installation

Unzip to your game folder as usual and run the game.



How to use

The node tool is automatically enabled when a maneuver node gizmo is detected. The key you use to cycle through maneuver nodes is by default O (as in Orange). Pressing this key opens the last node you had open before it closed. If no node was open before, it opens the first node in the node list. If a node was alreadyd open, it opens the next node in the list. So if you accidentally close the node you were editing, just hit O to bring it back open. Using the window, you can adjust the universal time when the node happens. Pgd stands for prograde (green buttons on the node gizmo), Rad stands for Radial (blue buttons on the gizmo) and Nml stands for Normal (purple buttons on the gizmo). You can edit the node values with your keyboard or by using mouse. If you use mouse, you should tick the "Keep open" toggle to ensure that the window doesn't close when your node closes (KSP feature, no can do!). There are four buttons: -, a number, + and S. Use - and + to adjust the number. Use S to flip the sign of the number (positive/negative). Click the number to add it to the node. The window also displays total Delta V required for the node and you can quickly change patched conics mode. Changing patched conics mode is very useful when you're trying to create an accurate encounter. You can set camera focus on the destination planet and change the conics mode to help you visualize the encounter.

  6. Even the ability to see the exact numbers for each axis of your maneuver node is a huge improvement. Being able to tweak them precisely, try different settings then go back to exactly what you had, or zero out accidental adjustments of the wrong axis is an amazing benefit.

    But what is the “nodeselect” Part good for?
    Somhow got that into my craftfiles – and you cant get out them – cant even see that in the VAB

  9. Would be awesome if you could save and load nodes. That way you could plot your long mission burns and then save the nodes, switch to another ship and then do something else and then later come back to your long range mission and reload the nodes and then do the burn.

    Is this 0.20 compatible? I use this ALL the time, and really really really hope it gets updated to 0.20 .. guess I can just try and see for now.

  11. Seems to work in 0.20, but I haven’t had time to test thoroughly yet. Not sure if the author intends to update or not, I hope so, it’s a useful mod.

    All these precise numbers are good, but having some keys to quickly adjust the vectors instead of dragging them with mouse or typing the numbers would be the most awesome feature!
    BTW, the KSP thread link is dead, does a new thread exist anywhere?

    p.s. It doesn’t seem very easy, but adding a resulting vector of the burn on the node in the map view, besides the adjustment ones, would essentially usefull too. Maybe it is an idea for another mod.

    And there is bug in plugin so I can post bugreport only here.
    When I set up first node plugin window appear and response corectly. But after reopening I can’t click any button… :(
