  1. Just came to support this. EdTools (along with Subassembly Loader) have been sorely missed.

If you can, please increase the size of the VAB and SPH again, as well as removing the height limit. That was one of the simplest and most useful features of EdTools. Of course you may want to wait for 0.21, since the VAB and SPH have been redesigned.

  2. Can someone please explain why this editor is replacing the EdTools.dll? I originally switched to this (I thought) upgrade, but reverted back to the older version because i couldn’t find any improvements to the mod. This mod allows up to 50 symmetry and angle snap starts at 5 deg. Where as the original edtools.dll has up to 100 symmetry and angle starts as low as 1deg. Also I couldn’t get the vertical snap and the parts clipping to work. Is there something special about this tool that I am not noticing or would it be just a preference thing? Thanks!

  3. EdTools had compatibility issues with .20, and was no longer being updated by the author. There was a 3rd-party patch available but it was removed due to licensing issues – so the only option was writing a similar plugin from scratch.
I didn’t include 100x symmetry because it’s a silly number, anything in game constructed with that will explode once the physics engine loads on the launchpad. I could set it to 9000, it’s just a arbitrary number. I started the angle snap at 5deg since 1 seemed not terribly useful in practice. vertical snap is definitely working, but that toggles itself off when and snap in general is off as well.

  4. Ok! thanks for re-writing this mod and for the info. I suppose that explains why my parts were hanging up and not being able to select them sometimes in the VAB with EdTools.dll. I re-installed this update. The reason that I thought V-snap wasn’t working is there is was no text coming up when i had selected it, however after rechecking i see that it worked just fine there simply wasn’t notification that it had indeed been turned on.Thanks again…my builds wouldn’t be possible without this mod.

  5. is there a place i can go get this mods for .20 compatibility? I have both versions of KSP installed on my PC and .20 and .21.1 and until all the mods i used are update i wont be completely switching over to .21.1. Do you have an older version on mediafire or somewhere i can download it?

  8. How the fluffy bunnies do you zoom out in VAB or SPH? You say that you can do that but NOWHERE is it said HOW to fluffy bunnies do that.

  9. Been looking for this since the last big patch. Thanks for bringing this up to date. Does what it says it does in the description. Same hotkeys as the old Editor Tools. Hasn’t made my game unstable (after testing for one night). I second this as a must have.

Use the SPH for everything. The camera controls are best in the SPH. I don’t know why they haven’t made the free camera stock for the VAB yet… Anyways use TAB to toggle SPH/VAB takeoff.

  13. Austin,
Put the .cs and .dll files under GameData\KMP\Plugins. Hope that helps.

    Anthony,
    Awesome plugin! Thanks!
