  3. Best. Cart. Ever.

At least until KSP comes with some stock parts for rovers… and even then I wander if they can beat this…

  6. This is awesome, but I do not like how there’s is NO resource draw of any kind. Won’t stop me from using it, though.

  7. How do you get it to work? I downloaded it but I don’t get how to get it on the game. Please help.

  8. Hey, love this mod. I just have one problem: When I try to put multiple Rovers on one craft it seems that only the original “Master” Command pod gets RCS fuel from the small red tanks. All the subsequent rovers just get a small puff of thrust and then nothing. The rovers are identical. Has anyone else experienced this? Any way to fix it?

  9. I love this mod!!! But is there a way to scale it up so it will fit with the MK2 Lander-can command module? The IVA looks really good with it :)

  10. > Wireless Resource Transfer

    DNW cheat parts. :(

Also the soviet truck. C’mon. Please don’t focus your creative energies on stuff that’s game immersion breaking and blows the entire feel of Kerbal Space Program out the window. :(

I’m glad you haven’t to date besides the soviet truck, did you build it or is it the one from the Google 3d Warehouse? Because they look identical to the polygon!

Is there any chance you could finish the Mun rover to have a capsule that your kerbonaut can climb into or seats or something? Also the thruster and propane tank are a bit overpowered, a rover should not be able to make planetfall.

  11. I have a better idea than my one above. Make a stacked part, 1.5 – 2m like the stock ASAS, except it breaks open and allows a folded down rover to slide (or be dragged if you’re using a winch on your ships like I tend to) out and be assembled (key command, keeping it simple) by the first kerbonaut to reach the package.

In actuality it’d just be a rack mounted laterally ejecting decoupler with a folded down mun rover in it. It would be extremely accurate when you consider how the actual lunar rover was stowed and how tightly it folded down.

If I knew how to make ladders I’d make one your little Kerbal’s could just stand on and hold onto I guess. But the lateral ejection part is beyond my skills at present.

kerbonaut at yahoo dot com or @kerbonaut on twitter if you are interested in this idea, would love to work with you guys on something, but feel free to take that comment and run with it if you like it, please! :D

  12. Bobcat Ind. is going out of business!

    Astronomer March 23, 2013
  13. Walrus, I ask that you please keep at least the little yellow-wheeled rover-base up-to-date. I love it, and it’ll never get old. Also, my first Mun landing was a rover with that base so yeah…

  14. Thank you thank you thank you. I transfered my save from 0.19.1 to 0.20 and managed to get all my parts and mods to work except for this one. I was beginning to think I’d have to give up on it. It’s such a great mod. And the basic rover is just great, be it as a probe or for carrying kerbals on the ladder.
    Now I feel complete again.

  15. Thank you for updating this! I still use it for Bobcat stuff and my own work on the RT-V.

  21. Im sorry but i dont understand how to install it. It says extract in KSP folder, so i get the compressed GameData folder pasted in KSP folder, but when i load the game i dont have this mod.
The only 2 mods that works doing that are Mechjeb and Prometeus rover.

What i need to get ths working and exactly where to install?.

  27. Running .22 and I can’t seen to get your rover to do anything.

    Gregory Johnson December 26, 2013
  28. Tried to use it with unmanned control – no luck with the message: “No control: menu disabled”. While working perfectly with manned control (any manned pod).

Is it possible to tweak it somehow to be used with unmanned control?

    Using mods: RT2, MJ.

    Alexey January 4, 2014
  29. Please, disregard my previous message. I haven’t noticed that it’s a known limitation. Sadly.

  30. I’m not trying to be picky, is it only me who has purplish-pinkish lights when they’re on? I understand if it’s a bug.

  31. Thank You for this great mod! Haven’t tried it yet but Scott Manley likes it!

  32. None of the parts show up in game for me. I see cart.dae in the \parts\utility\Cart\ folder but I don’t see cart.dll anywhere, is this why? Was it left out somehow or am I missing something?

    r d February 25, 2014
  33. how do you use the mun rover. its says “no control : menu disabled”. what do I do to fix it.

    mattew nelson March 18, 2014
  34. Carts show up, but there is no function.

States that cart.dll is needed but no such file is included and attempts to find it have proven impossible using both google and KSP forum Search.

Which sucks because I really want more self powered wheels to make rovers with since the current ones aren’t all that great.
