—.21 Compatible—MechJeb 2.0.9— Equips stock Command Pods & Probes with mechjeb—MechJeb plugin
Half the windows in Mechjeb wont even open ….such as assent guide..Landing guide…a few others. Just gives a little grey icon in the top left corner of the screen…some of the other windows open though….anybody else having this issue?
I re-downloaded my game to get back my original cfgs and installed Mechjeb 2.0.9 and it works just fine. I assume it’s something to do with edit to the stock parts this mod provides, or something has changed in this particular version of the dll file?
I’m not sure why that happened….it all works fine for me
May have simply been a corrupted download on my end, or a conflict with another mod. Cause mechjeb seems to work fine for me now. it was only when i added it to my pods that i had this issue.
I had a similar issue, in addition to absolutely ALL of my old mods caused the game to lock up and crash :/
can you just release the original one instead of making the stock pods have it, because somtimes i want to launch and fly a mission MYSELF GOD DAMNIT!
Clyde all you have to do is shut the systems off.
your dumb, i dont want my pods equiped with it, i want the option of not having the annoying mechjeb button on my screen, i want the actual pod you mount from the controll section.
Clyde calm down, just uninstall it and go find the one with the radial computer to mount on it.
Thanks for the 0.21 update Brandon. MechJeb is incredible and awesome! And, thanks for moving the tab away from the Info buttons on the Orbit Map. Maybe coincidental, but thanks.
thank you rock d
To everyone complaining about the replacement of stock pods. Instead of copying the GameData folder and overwriting the stock modules. Copy the parts (cupola, landerCabinSmall, etc.) inside the command folder into the parts folder inside your Kerbal Space Program Directory. You will now have the original command modules as well as the MechJeb command modules.
I have to agree with those who suggest this mod shouldn’t be “hard-wired” into the parts. I like the option of adding Mechjeb to non-standard configurations by way of the module myself. Thankfully the mechjeb “quick-fix” for KSP .21.1 still seems to work just fine. I’ll hang onto that one.
Any chance of a version that will run under linux?
i just want the normal fucking part, YOU STICK ON YOUR SHIP, BECAUSE ALL THE PEOPLE MAKING THE MECHJEB INTEGRATED INTO STOCK PARTS IS PISSING ME OFF, I WANT THE ACTUAL MECHJEB POD THAT I STICK ON THE SIDE. IS THAT TO MUCH TO ASK FOR?!
I think the comment above is a bit shouty rude, but it does chime with one of my two issues with this adddon.
Firstly the integration of Mechjeb into modules is not especially helpful, and actually the little ‘radio control’ box one used to stick on the side of various elements was preferable (not least because it was obvious when you miss it off).
Secondly, the installation process is a bit obscure and I have had conflicting advice. The archive includes a Gamedata folder that overwrites an existing game folder (poor practice I must say) and a DLL file in the plugins folder. However, this latter I have been told to put under “gamedata/mechjeb2/” and under KSP_Win/Plugins. Which is it? I’d appreciate a definitive response, as I believe the add on, useful as it is, is causing me real in game bugs right now.
I like having the stock pods have mechjeb integrated into them as it is one less part to find space for, but only stock parts get MJ. This is a problem as I like to use the B9 pods AND mechjeb, in which case a radial mount MJ box would be very handy. Until then, all my B9 based ships are going to have a stock probe command added just so i have mechjeb on them.
To resonate with meeware, I’m also having difficulty in getting this to work. I’m seeing a lot of conflicting info on how to install this and I’ve already tried quite a few different configurations of different files into different folders where either MechJeb doesn’t even show up or when it does show up it doesn’t actually do anything. A guide detailing where each file goes should be included that way I can at least determine the setup is correct.
This is like the easiest to install of a mod, and about the best one too. I’m getting the game sometime. But til then. I am thinking about getting this mod, CRAZY BAD
It is a sad day. I will not modify the stock pods and therefore will have to skip Mechjeb.
This isn’t the real MechJeb, so watch out if you download this! The real one can be downloaded over on the KerbalSpaceProgram.com Forums: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/12384-PART-0-21-Anatid-Robotics-MuMech-MechJeb-Autopilot-v2-0-9
Going to agree with Mortazel on this, this isn’t the right now, nor real.
For anyone having problems installing just add the gamedata and plugin folders to the ksp directory which will merge them with the game. And for anyone who would like the control box to add to the side download it from the forum page.
Going to point out the obvious here.
You can’t use MechJeb with the storyline.
Can you please make the MechJeb parts stand alone so that I can have the mod installed and play the storyline as well as have access to the parts for the sandbox mode?
Would be great to be able to use MechJeb for the storyline, however I haven’t progressed far enough to have modded parts unlocked.
Broke career mode for me. The modded capsules/pods made it so none of them can be unlocked until a later date. Not even the original Mk. 1 pod is available, which is supposed to be the original.
Also you can’t have mechjeb on other mods anymore because there is a box. Bring the box back…
I had the same problem. I sorted out the issues with the parts files and uploaded them as an unofficial patch to get your MechJeb and modules working in career mode. Here’s the link, enjoy!

You need to fix Mech Jeb. The old Mech Jeb I used was perfect. This one, has me worrying that it might break my ship in half due to constant and retarded wobbling. Not to mention it doesn’t even use SAS anymore. Fix this!!
I have just noticed while using MechJeb and Kerbal Engineering System together that they displayed two different values for vessel mass. This was because Mechjeb was adding in the launch clamps while Kerbal Engineering System wasn’t (as it should be).
