[0.20] Simple Part Organizer (v0.250)

Simple lightweight plugin that allows you to organize your parts in the VAB or SPH. This plug-in is designed for ease-of-use: one-click, intutive operation. It works from inside the game and does not modify your game file structure or naming. Allows you to sort parts to make parts easier to find and set filters to de-clutter the part list.

Requires KSP 0.20 or later

Forum thread is here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/34779-0-20-Simple-Part-Organizer-v0-200

- Made the mod filter window scrollable
- Truncated text so it fits on the buttons
- Internal changes to make more efficient code
- Added Default button to the sort window
- Filter settings now persistent between sessions

- Added filter regime: part type
- Added Select All and De-Select All buttons to the filter panels
- Changed license to GPLv3

v0.100 – Initial release.
- 5 sorting regimes: title, manufacturer, size, dry mass, total mass
- 2 filtering regimes: mod, size

Required License Stuff:
Licensed under GPLv3. Refer to license.txt in the zip file for details.

Unpack the zip file into your KSP program directory.

How to use

- Sorts are stable, so you can sort alphabetically by name, then sort another way and the alphabetizing will remain as much as possible. - Enabled filters for mod and size filters exclude the matching parts from the parts list. Simply click the button again to re-include them. - For type filters, only one can be active at a time, and only parts of that type will be shown in the list.

  1. WOW!! This mod is amazing! Wish the system is inside the vanilla.

Also, would it be possible to make “finding parts by typing-in” in the future? Koogle xD that would greatly help with tonnes of mod parts.

  2. Ivan,

That’s a really good idea. I’ll look at how I could add that.

  3. How about going a step further. Allow us to create our own windows (new tabs) and drag/drop in the parts we use most. Also give sorting ability, alphabetic, weight, cost….

One big thing, would have a name bar under each item, so you can see what it is without having to mouse over each object.

FYI, there is already a mod that does this:

It’s awesome. My icons conflict with it, but I’ll address this in my next revision.
