[0.18.2] DEMV Mark 2

The Mark II, a second generation rover from Bobcat Ind., has more stability, and greater capabilities due to it’s modular design. We at Bobcat Ind. intend to develop several different payload packages for this very adaptable space truck.

  2. For one, I absolutely adore this mod. However, why can’t I see into the cockpit through the front window like I can in the image?

  3. The model000.mbn is missing any fix for this?

  5. I have problems, the part comes without wheels. I tried to install the tosh mod, but no luck. Do these two mods conflict and delete the wheels parts or something? I cannot find any wheels chassis or anything, help would be appreciated.

  6. -I am stumped

The parts no longer use Tosh’s cart mod (which has been abandoned). They now use the Cleverbobcat plugin, which is basically the same thing. If you have Tosh’s old plugin installed then that is likely the source of your issue.

  7. Could not extract the file “DEMV Mk2 v0.18.1/Internals/Spaces/Mark2pod/model000.mbm”: The archive file is incomplete

  8. “the part comes without wheels” (I am stumped)

The wheels are in the Utility tab. If you want them in Propulsion just edit part.cfg for them.

  9. This looks awesome and I appreciate the effort and personal time put into this rover – but – the command pod is vertical and the chassis is horizontal. How is one supposed to assemble this thing?

  10. Some Assembly may stump players.

  11. Best rover in KSP! And yes, some assembly required. (I actually added wings and engines and landing gear… and made a flying RV out of it!)

  12. Why does it comes without wheels? I just downloaded it and spent ages looking through all my stuff to find the wheels. That’s as daft as buying a car and it coming without wheels. .__.

  13. … it does come with wheels I just found them in Utility where Orb said! I got had, boy do I feel foolish. Next I’ll be trying to buy a new bubble for a spirit level. :(

  14. I really like the Mk5, but i want to use this one so that i can go farther and move more kerbals at a time, but when i release the chassis all the controll menus go away, i can do everything (that you can do without a kerbal) before i detach, but when i get a kerbal inside and then detach all the menu options are gone. anyone ran into this problem? and/or any known fixes?

    Nathen Gallivan March 12, 2013
  15. Kristina, it disables your steering and motor when you detach from the main pod if the demv 2 isn’t the primary. just right click and turn back on the motor and steering.

  16. Dont like this as much as your Mark 5 its just too big to carry onto a planet by a lander really – it only really fits inside a 5m stage. I dont do launchers that carry unfeasibly oversized landers on the top they just look daft.

Shame it isnt slightly smaller and split into two or more configurable parts with docking ports to join so you can transport them in smaller rockets and join them up on site. That would be better – almost like a road train type thing.
